According to a report from L’Équipe, Lille OSC have sent an undisclosed offer to Stade Rennais for the centre-back Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal (18).
The teenager, an international for Morocco in the underage brackets, could be yet another Rennes player who was signed in the summer only to depart this winter. The teenager has not yet played a minute of first-team football since joining the club. This has led Lille to send an offer and test Rennes’ commitment to the prospect.
Lille consider this a great opportunity to try and secure a teenager who last summer had attracted interest from Chelsea, Manchester City, and OGC Nice, according to L’Équipe.
The defender arrived in Breton from the prestigious Mohamed VI Football Academy signing a contract that would tie him to Rennes until 2028. The academy has produced a number of talented players who have gone on to represent the nation at the senior level such as Nayef Aguerd, Azzedine Ounahi, and Youssef En-Nesyri, among others.
