Lille anticipate Bafodé Diakité and Alexsandro departures | OneFootball

Lille OSC have already had to contend with some major departures this summer and they may have to contend with several more. Jonathan David has already announced his departure. The Canadian will not sign a contract renewal and therefore leaves on a free transfer, whilst Angel Gomes will do the same. Rémy Cabella has also left on a free transfer and has made the move to Greece.

More will likely follow. Edon Zhegrova will be allowed to leave the club, having angled for a move last summer. Napoli remain interested in him. Lucas Chevalier could also leave amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa. Les Dogues’ centre-back pairing could also be broken up. As per Foot Mercato, Lille are anticipating a departure for either Bafodé Diakité (24) or Alexsandro (25). Both were displaceable for Lille last season, however, both are expected to attract interest.

In order to anticipate a departure for either Alexsandro or Diakité, Lille are targeting a move for Braga centre-back Sikou Niakaté (25), Foot Mercato understands. The Portuguese side want over €10m for the defender.
