Strasbourg vs Metz - Sun, 20:00

The goals count in Ligue 1 has been high in recent weeks and this derby in Eastern France is our pick to go overs this weekend.

Visitors Metz are battling relegation and have to go for the win here, which to some extent should lead to an open match.

There's far less at stake for mid-table hosts Strasbourg, but since securing Ligue 1 safety their games have tended to be open and entertaining rather than dour and closed.

The stats are in your favour, too: 67 per cent of all Ligue 1 games involving these two sides since the start of February have featured three or more goals.

Clermont vs Lyon - Sun, 20:00

Lyon stand a terrific chance of collecting all three points at Clermont this weekend.

Pierre Sage's visitors are in such tremendous form it's remarkable to think that they were among the favourites for relegation at one point this season.

Transformed by previously unknown Sage's appointment and an excellent January transfer window, Lyon have collected 31 points from 13 games (2.38 points per game) since the start of February: the best record of any side in the division during that period.

Their latest remarkable performance was their 4-3 win at Lille on Monday night, when they scored twice during injury-time to turn defeat into victory.

Hosts Clermont are almost relegated and it's hard to see them putting up meaningful resistance.

Four points from safety with only two games to play, they played like a side already resigned to their fate in losing 4-1 at Monaco last weekend, and a similarly apathetic showing is likely here.

Lyon are 1.625/8 to win the game, so for bigger odds we prefer backing them on the Asian Handicap. With our selection, you'll get your stakes back if Lyon win by a single goal, and make a profit if they win by two or more goals.

With starters and substitutes both finding the net for prolific Lyon in recent weeks - top scorer Alexandre Lacazette is leading the way with 17 goals this season - expect the away team to pose a scoring threat until the very end, increasing their chances of winning by a big margin.

Montpellier vs Monaco - Sun, 20:00

Monaco are a great selection to win on Sunday, away to hosts that have nothing to play for.

By the time the game kicks-off Adi Hutter's visitors will know whether they need to win to be sure of securing runners-up spot in Ligue 1.

The only team that can catch them are Brest, and they host Reims in one of Ligue 1's two Friday night games. If Brest fail to win, Monaco will be assured of second spot before even stepping on to the pitch.

Whatever the stakes, however, Monaco should have enough desire and quality to win. They've been outstanding during the second-half of the season, and currently top the five- and 10-game Ligue 1 form tables.

They breezed to a 4-1 win over bottom club Clermont last weekend and are capable of winning comfortably again here.

Mid-table Montpellier have nothing to play for. Historically the Languedoc Roussillon-based club have struggled to maintain their motivation levels once little's at stake, so there's a good chance they'll switch off here.
