Axel Disasi has expressed his desire to remain in the Premier League this summer with Newcastle interested according to reports.
Disasi spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, and isn’t part of the Chelsea squad for the Club World Cup in America.
The Frenchman is one of a number of players who the Blues are looking to find a new home for this summer, which could be easier than said than done.
Disasi joined the Blues for just shy of £39m from Monaco in the summer of 2023, and had an impressive season under Mauricio Pochettino.
However, it became clear pretty quickly he wasn’t going to be a major part of the plans under Enzo Maresca, and he made just three Premier League appearances, whilst featuring more regularly in the Conference League.

Disasi left on loan for Villa in January, but made just ten Premier League appearances for Unai Emery’s side as they missed out on Champions League qualification.
It was reported earlier this summer Villa were keen to sign Disasi on a permanent basis, but nothing has materialised yet.
Juventus have also been linked with Disasi, and L’Equipe via GFFN have reported he would prefer to remain in the Premier League if possible.
The report adds Newcastle are interested, but Chelsea’s €30m asking price has led to a lack of offers for the 27-year-old.
Disasi won’t be the only centre back leaving Chelsea this summer, with Renato Veiga reportedly up for sale, whilst there are also questions about the future of Benoit Badiashile.

Veiga is said to be attracting interest from Bayern Munich, and the Portugal international could reportedly cost as much as €30m.
It’s less clear with Badiashile, but if suitable offers came in the Blues would likely listen, and the Frenchman simply isn’t going to get the regular minutes he would want at Chelsea.
