Juventus legend Leonardo Bonucci demands patience for head coach Thiago Motta.

Speaking in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Leonardo Bonucci advised Juventus to put their faith in Thiago Motta and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli to turn around from this situation. He said: “Give Motta and Giuntoli time to create the foundations to return to winning ways.”

Bonucci’s words came after Juventus’ 4-0 defeat to Atalanta and he seemed discouraged with the team’s performances in recent games. However, he reiterated his support for Motta as he urged the club to give him some more time to sort out the mistakes. He said: “Motta now has a fluctuating project, but we need to give him confidence for at least another year to create the conditions to win. Of course, he also needs to grow. He needs to learn that coaching Juve is a world apart.”

With the loss against La Dea, the Bianconeri are eight points short of the league leaders Inter and considering how tight the competition is going to be in the final days of the campaign, they have very little chance of mounting a title fight.
