Leeds United pondering a move for Angers midfielder Himad Abdelli | OneFootball

According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Leeds United are interested in signing Himad Abdelli (25) from Angers. The Algerian international midfielder is a target for the newly promoted Premier League outfit as they look to bolster their midfield options.

The Yorkshire club had targeted Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra (21) as their number one target for the midfield, but the 21-year-old is set to join Sunderland in a club-record move. However, Abdelli is the latest name to be linked with a move to Elland Road this summer.

The 25-year-old played a crucial role as he helped Angers retain their place in Ligue 1, scoring 6 goals and registering a solitary assist in 32 appearances in the French top flight. Leeds will be hoping he can have the same effect as they hope to remain in the Premier League. Torino and Trabzonspor are also interested in the midfielder.
