Leeds United have agreed a ‘sizeable sell-on percentage’ in a deal to let Sonny Perkins complete a permanent move to Leyton Orient.
The forward has been on loan at the League One side and his performances have delighted the Brisbane Road faithful.
His deal at Leeds is set to run out in the summer and the O’s approached the Whites about a permanent transfer now.
A deal has been agreed which will see Leeds bank a small fee, which is undisclosed, according to the Athletic.
It also contains a sizeable sell-on percentage which will make sure Leeds get more cash if Perkins makes a big move in the future.
The 20-year-old joined the Whites from West Ham United in 2022 and has made four senior appearances for the Elland Road outfit since.
Perkins will now look to kick on with his career at Leyton Orient with the knowledge his stay at the club is now a permanent one.
Leeds will continue to keep tabs on the forward’s progress as they eye the sell-on clause potentially paying off.
