Lazio have released a statement warning they will take legal action against former eagle handler Juan Bernabé after their bitter feud took another extraordinary twist.
The saga started in January 2025 when Bernabé, who had been working for the club for many years as the falconer of the club mascot Olympia, posted explicit photographs on social media showing the results of his penile implant.
This was considered embarrassing for the club and he was sacked, but then refused to leave his home at the training ground, reportedly barricading himself in and insisting he was under doctor’s orders not to be moved during the recovery process.

That legal battle is still dragging on and last night Bernabé released a video on his social media account in which he alleged that the real reason he was fired was not due to the photographs of the penile implant, but because he was aware of some activities regarding minors both inside the Formello training ground and at their Auronzo di Cadore summer camp.
Bernabé also showed a brief clip of a video he claims was taken without the knowledge of Aquile director Angelo Maria Fabbiani in which they were meant to be talking about the allegations.

Inevitably, this prompted a formal statement where the club pledged legal action to “vigorously defend our good name.”
It claims the allegations from “an ex-collaborator who had even illegally occupied a building owned by the club at Formello” were “totally lacking in foundation and unjustly offend the honour of S.S. Lazio.”
It came just hours after another video showing a phone call with President Claudio Lotito, so the statement posits whether these are all “part of a strategy to destabilise the Biancocelesti during a crucial moment of the season.”
