Lazio have revealed how much they spent on their summer signings Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Gaetano Castrovilli, Tijjani Noslin and Loum Tchaouna.
The Biancocelesti signed these four players last summer, including Dele-Bashiru, a 24-year-old midfielder who initially joined on loan with an obligation to buy, but as La Lazio Siamo Noi notes, the club has already purchased the Nigerian as illustrated by the recently released half-yearly report.
The Lagos native started his career in the Manchester City academy and then had an experience at Sheffield Wednesday between 2020 and 2023. Last season, he took the Turkish league by storm in his solitary campaign with Hatayspor, which convinced Angelo Fabiani to bring him to the Italian capital.
Dele-Bashiru started the campaign on a relatively slow note, but he always enjoyed the backing of his head coach Marco Baroni who never missed an opportunity to emphasize the midfielder’s great promise. The former Hatayspor star has been more involved as of late, and has already contributed with five goals and two assists in 23 appearances in all competitions.
The Nigerian had suffered an ankle injury during the stalemate against Venezia last month, but is expected to make his return to action in the coming days, possibly in Thursday’s Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen.
This financial statement confirms that the Italian capital side spent €5.4 million to buy the Nigeria international, while also spending €15.9 million to sign his teammate Tijjani Noslin from Hellas Verona on a permanent basis, while Loum Tchaouna cost €8.4 million to make the move from Salernitana.
Finally, Gaetano Castrovilli was signed as a free agent after being released by Fiorentina at the end of last season. Nevertheless, Lazio noted the operation cost them €200,000, potentially in commissions and sign-on fees. The Italian couldn’t carve himself a regular place in Baroni’s lineup, so he joined Monza on loan in January.
