Tuesday’s reports claim that Lazio could look to spin an immediate profit on Arsenal loanee Nuno Tavares in the summer transfer window, as the Biancocelesti reportedly value the Portugal international eight times higher than his buy-out clause.

Tavares made an immediate impression after joining Lazio from Arsenal during the most recent summer transfer window, registering eight assists from his first eight league appearances in Italy.

As a result, his market value has skyrocketed, and reports from Calciomercato.com claim that Lazio now value Tavares in the region of €40m ahead of the summer transfer window.

Tuesday’s report claims that there is no question that Lazio will trigger their option to buy clause they negotiated with Arsenal last summer, which will cost the club around €5m, not including the cost of the initial loan fee.

For that reason, Lazio would reportedly be willing to buy Tavares and then sell him on in the same transfer window if an appropriate offer were to come in.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will retain a 20% sell-on clause if Lazio do make the move permanent.
