Ladislav Krejci set to join Wolves on an initial loan

Ladislav Krejci is set to undergo a medical at Wolverhampton Wanderers before joining the club on an initial loan.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Wolves will pay Girona an initial €7 million to loan the defender (£6m) which will turn into a permanent transfer for €23 million (£19.9m) depending on a set number of appearances.

Should Wolves make the deal permanent as expected then Krejci has already agreed a five-year deal with the Premier League side.

The Czech international began his career with Zbrojovka Brno before making the move to Sparta Praha.

After impressing at Sparta, Krejci earned a move to La Liga with Girona last summer and has since featured 38 times for the club in all competitions, including playing twice for the team this season.
