The agent of Marash Kumbulla was asked to clarify his client’s intentions after a disastrous loan spell at Sassuolo.
The Roma defender will soon make his return to the Italian capital where it remains unclear what his fate will be as recovery from last year’s ACL injury proved more difficult than initially expected.
In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, Gianni Vitali discussed Kumbulla’s future:
“We will meet with Roma’s new sporting director, it’s normal. Ghisolfi seems like an interesting director, we’ll see what we agree to.”
“Kumbulla is sorry for what happened,” said Vitali, referring to his client’s costly mistakes in Sassuolo’s recent games which contributed to the Neroverdi’s relegation to Serie B.
“He was returning from a major injury, he needed time to get back to normal fitness levels. The physical condition is good, I now expect Marash to be ready to face a tough group at the European Championship with his Albanian side. After such injuries, time is needed to fully heal.”
