The 32-year-old scored six goals for the Blades last season.
Sheffield United striker Kieffer Moore may be looking for a way out of Bramall Lane following an underwhelming debut season at the club.
The Blades signed the striker from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth for a fee believed to be in the region of £2 million last summer, after he helped Ipswich Town win automatic promotion to the top flight with seven goals in 18 Championship appearances during a loan spell in 2024.
However, he was unable to reproduce that kind of form in a Sheffield United shirt last season, as he netted just six goals in 30 appearances during both the regular season and the play-offs.
The 32-year-old will no doubt still be haunted by the costly mistake he made in the Championship play-off final at Wembley in May - his misplaced pass on the halfway line enabled Tommy Watson to fire Sunderland into the Premier League at the Blades' expense.
Moore still has two years left to run on his contract at Bramall Lane, but with Tyrese Campbell and Tom Cannon likely to be ahead of him in the pecking order next season under Ruben Selles, who prefers his teams to play a dynamic, high-intensity style of football, he could potentially be available this summer for the right price.
While many clubs in the second tier would likely be keen on signing Moore, let's take a closer look at three Championship sides who could benefit from signing the striker before the end of the transfer window.
Newly-promoted Championship side Wrexham are on the hunt for another new striker as they prepare for life in the second tier next season.
The Red Dragons have already brought in Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle for a fee in the region of £700,000, but following the departures of Steven Fletcher, Sam Dalby and Paul Mullin, there is room for another centre-forward to be brought in.
Journalist Alan Nixon has reported that Wrexham have a £10 million budget to use for signing a new striker between now and the end of the summer transfer window, but they could consider signing Moore for a much lower fee than that if they want an experienced Championship centre-forward.
Stoke City could be in the market for another centre-forward this summer. Ali Al-Hamadi returned to Ipswich Town following his loan spell last season and Niall Ennis has joined Blackpool on a permanent basis.
The Potters have brought in Divin Mubama on loan from Manchester City this summer, but signing Kieffer Moore would give Mark Robins a proven striker at Championship level.
Ryan Mmaee has not quite lived up to expectations so far during his career at the bet365 Stadium and Sam Gallagher has often been plagued by injury problems since his move from Blackburn Rovers, while Emre Tezgel and Nathan Lowe may not have the required experience to regularly lead the line in the second tier, so the experience of Moore could be a great addition for Mark Robins.
Preston North End have shown some ambition during the transfer window this summer by bringing in the likes of Thierry Small, Daniel Iversen and Odeluga Offiah, while they have recently had a £2 million bid for Callum Lang rejected by Portsmouth, as was exclusively revealed by Football League World.
However, Paul Heckingbottom has lost a key figure up front, as physical striker Emil Riis left Deepdale to join Bristol City on a free transfer at the end of his contract.
