Chiefs continue perfect start with three wins in a row

Kaizer Chiefs have continued their impressive start to the 2025/26 PSL campaign with a third win on the trot in the Betway Premiership, after claiming a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Richards Bay at FNB Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Uruguayan playmaker Gaston Sirino scored the solitary goal that ensured maximum points remain in Gauteng, as the Soweto giants remained in second place on the log standings, level on nine points with log leaders Sekhukhune United after three matches played.
Chiefs, on the back of missing out on a top eight spot for the second successive season, have caught the eye with their performances in the league this term, defeating Stellenbosch FC and Polokwane City in the process, prior to downing the Natal Rich Boys.
On the other hand, Babina Noko are on a similar trajectory as they also registered three wins in a row after a commanding 3-0 victory over newly promoted Orbit College at Dobsonville Stadium to go top of the table.
In East London, TS Galaxy got off the mark as they claimed their first win of the season, courtesy of a 4-1 thumping of Chippa United, with Puso Dithejane scoring the first hattrick of the new season at Buffalo City Stadium.
Meanwhile, Rise and Shine ascended to sixth place after securing a crucial win against newly rebranded Siwelele FC at Lucas Moripe Stadium. This marked the club’s maiden triumph of the 2025/26 term.
In Durban, rookies Durban City held Golden Arrows to a 1-1 draw, with Sede Junior Dion canceling out Jerome Karele’s own goal. The newcomers dropped down to third place, while Manqoba Mngqithi’s side moved up to seventh place.
Betway Premiership action will continue with a clash between defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns and Magesi FC in Seshego, while wounded Orlando Pirates host hoodoo team Stellenbosch, as AmaZulu welcome Marumo Gallants to KZN on Wednesday evening.
