According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus plan to sell Danilo and Samuel Mbangula in the January transfer window to finance the acquisition of a new defender.

Serie A giants Juventus must replace the injured Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal, but budget limitations mean the Old Lady must sell some of their players first.

Gazzetta reported last week that Danilo was a target for Premier League side Manchester United.

His contract expires in 2025, and even if he has an option to extend it until 2026 if he makes a minimum number of appearances, he’s not a key player under Motta. According to Gazzetta, Juventus may have to accept a free transfer but at least they can save on the defender’s €5m-a-year wages.

On the other hand, Mbangula is reportedly available for circa €10m.

The 20-year-old scored on his senior debut at the Allianz Stadium in August. He has also provided three assists in eight appearances with the senior team.

Arthur is also expected to leave Juventus, but, like Danilo, the Bianconeri don’t expect significant revenue from his departure and will be looking to scrap his €5m salary.
