Juventus Ponder Cashing In on Another Youth Product

Juventus continue to be busier trimming their squad rather than shoring it up, and they have recently received an offer from Nottingham Forest for Nicolò Savona. The youngster isn’t untouchable, but he’ll leave only at the right price, Mediaset informs.

The Tricky Trees, which added Douglas Luiz earlier in the summer, have put €11/12M on the table. Instead, the Bianconeri want about €18M. Their youth product recently extended his contract until 2030, but it doesn’t guarantee his permanence. He has totaled 40 appearances with the senior team in the last couple of seasons, scoring twice.

Savona could be the next in line to leave Juventus after Arthur, who has joined Gremio on loan, and Tiago Djalò, who’s headed to Besiktas for about €3.5M. Igor Tudor expects at least a couple more signings before the end of the window, primarily Edon Zhegrova and Randal Kolo Muani.

The Old Lady wishes to find a solution for Dusan Vlahovic. In addition to Milan, which are patiently waiting for his price tag and personal requests to come down, he’s been offered to Newcastle United, which might soon lose Alexander Isak. However, he doesn’t appear to be a priority for them. They are keener on Brentford’s Joane Wissa and Wolverhampton’s Jorge Strand Larsen.

Our Take on Juventus and Savona

It’s evident at this point that the mandate of their new brass was to rationalize the squad and the resources as much as possible. The former is an okay performer, but, if he’s the key to unlocking an upgrade on the right wing, they shouldn’t think twice about it. As a pure fullback, he’s a better fit for a four-man line and needs work to adapt to their relatively new formation.
