Juventus could make an attempt to sign Rasmus Hojlund during the early June window to be more at ease in the position in the Club World Cup. While Dusan Vlahovic will likely still be part of the squad even though he’s set to leave for contract-related reasons, Randal Kolo Muani will go back to PSG on June 30th as things stand.
According to TuttoSport, the Bianconeri will try to bring in the Dane on loan. Napoli and a couple of Premier League teams are keen on him too. He had a decent maiden season, tallying 16 goals, while he has struggled in the present one. He has yet to reach the double-digit threshold and has hit the net just once since mid-December.
However, it’ll be difficult for Juventus to convince Manchester United to agree to the Hojlund deal under those conditions, Tuttomercatoweb relays. The English side paid €75M plus €10M to acquire him from Atalanta. His residual financial cost is about €45M.
The Red Devils are open to selling him, but only for about €60M. They are looking to monetize his exit to foot their chase of top-notch strikers. They have Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen in their crosshairs.
He’d be a less risky bet than other options considering his time and displays at Atalanta. It’s very unlikely the operation could go through early, as the Red Devils will explore the market first. If there aren’t teams ready to splurge on him, a loan with an obligation to buy for about €45/50M could satisfy all parties and would be fine economically.
