July 29, 2017, was not just any day; it was the date when Club Deportivo Guadalajara took a historic step by witnessing the first match of Chivas Women's Team, responding to the birth of the Liga MX Femenil and reaffirming its commitment to the development of women's soccer in Mexico.
On that day, the Rojiblancas marked the beginning of a new era. Guadalajara welcomed the Rojinegras to the San Rafael facilities to play the historic Matchday 1 of the 2017 Apertura. The match went smoothly and was clearly controlled by the Rebaño Sagrado, who took control of the pace of the game from the start and created constant danger in front of the opponent's goal.
The final score was a resounding 3-0 in favor of Chivas, with a brace from Daniela Pulido and another goal from Anette Vázquez, who earned a place in Rojiblanca history by scoring the team's first goal in the Liga MX Femenil.
Eight years have passed since that unforgettable moment. In that time, the team has won two league titles, one Campeón de Campeones trophy, and played several memorable matches that will remain forever in the memory of the fans.
Our Rojiblancas have accumulated many stories, among which the Summer Cup matches and some other international visits stand out. In addition, we cannot overlook the tremendous visits that the Rebaño Femenil received at Akron Stadium, such as Barcelona and the Argentine National Team.
Eight years on, it is exciting to see how much the Rojiblanco team has grown, as it prepares to go for more in the current 2025 Apertura.
