The 25-year-old has struggled to make an impact with the Blues
Chelsea have confirmed that Joao Felix will spend the rest of the season on loan at AC Milan.
The 25-year-old has made just nine starts - three in the Premier League - since joining Chelsea for £44.5million last summer and has agreed a move to Serie A in order to get more regular football.
Felix was absent from the Chelsea squad for their Premier League game against West Ham on Monday night as he finalised a move to the Italian giants.
A Chelsea statement read: “Chelsea forward Joao Felix will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Serie A side AC Milan.
“Joao will now spend the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign at San Siro and we look forward to supporting him during his loan spell. Good luck, Joao!”
Chelsea will reportedly receive a £5m loan fee and Milan will have the option to make the move permanent in the summer.
The Portugal international, who will wear the No79 shirt at Milan, signed a seven-year contract with the Blues upon arrival last summer
Milan sit eighth in Serie A and have already added Manchester City’s Kyle Walker to their ranks this month.
They face Roma in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.
