For FC Barcelona, the goal is always to improve and be better than before. Already this season, the Catalan giants have set a high standard for themselves to improve on next season. However, doing so will require careful planning and consideration from Barcelona.

Despite having a limited budget, the club managed to sign the likes of Dani Olmo in the previous summer transfer window. However, for most people, the club’s best and most impactful arrival was Hansi Flick himself.

A successful season for Barcelona

Still, there is no doubt that the club will be looking to add more firepower to their team ahead of next season. Having secured the La Liga title recently, the club’s campaign ends with three major titles secured for themselves out of the four that they were competing for.

Next season, however, the objective would be to aim for the UEFA Champions League as well. They managed to end their journey in the semi-finals this time, but that just means that the players and coaches will be even more determined to go all the way next season.

Already planning for the future

To add to this, Joan Laporta recently revealed that the club Director, Deco, has already been working on the future. As highlighted by SPORT, the Barcelona president made it quite clear with a recent statement:

“Deco has been preparing for next season for quite some time now.”

That is great news for Barcelona, especially knowing just how bad things can go if the right planning is not there. So far, Joan Laporta and his board members have managed to steer the club back in the right direction, and it is now time to continue that progression.

With the 1:1 rule also expected to remain intact for the club heading into the summer transfer window, the club could look to use their resources in positions where they need reinforcements. One such reinforcement could be some kind of defensive arrival, and Barcelona have been linked to a few names recently.
