Jamie Webster’s journey from Liverpool electrician to festival favourite has been nothing short of extraordinary. Known for his stirring performances and working-class anthems, Webster has become a cultural figure in the city of Liverpool and among the wider fanbase of Liverpool FC. His music echoes real life, full of grit, joy, and defiance.
With five Glastonbury performances now behind him, Jamie remains grounded and grateful. He often speaks about how surreal it feels, and how the support of the people, particularly Liverpool fans, helped shape the career he now enjoys. His breakthrough came through BOSS Nights, singing reworked football chants and anthems that led to performances at major club events, including before the 2019 Champions League Final in Madrid.
Before music took over, Jamie worked for nearly a decade as an electrician. That graft shaped his values and his work ethic. His debut album We Get By reached number six in the UK charts and was followed by Moments and most recently 10 For The People. Each of his records tells stories of everyday people. His lyrics capture the working-class spirit with clarity and care, often reflecting his own journey from site work to centre stage.
Jamie’s passion extends far beyond music. His support for Zoe’s Place, a baby hospice in Liverpool, shows his continued commitment to the causes that matter to the people around him. Whether performing with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra or raising money for vital services, Jamie is present where it counts.
His love for Liverpool FC remains at the core of everything. From singing before European finals to writing music that plays in the background of big match days, Jamie’s connection to the club is genuine and lasting. He has always said he would never have been able to reach this stage without the support of the club and its fans.
Now, with a fifth Glastonbury set under his belt and more music on the way, Jamie Webster continues to give voice to the everyday stories that deserve to be heard.
