Jamal Musiala is receiving intensive treatment for a hip injury in order to be fit for Bayern Munich and Germany’s packed schedule, according to Bild.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder was nursing a hip problem against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend and were concerned he would aggravate the injury if he started against Aston Villa in the Champions League.

Musiala is now receiving treatment ahead of Bayern’s game against Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend.

Bayern are facing a crucial few weeks with the likes of VfB Stuttgart and Barcelona to follow the Frankfurt game on Sunday.

What’s more, there is an international break between these fixtures where Musiala will feature against Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Netherlands.

Bayern currently sit top of the Bundesliga but have drawn and lost their last two games in all competitions.

Despite the slight dip in results, head coach Vincent Kompany has been praised by the Bayern bosses who still believe they’re on course to be successful this season.
