Manchester United have been trying to negotiate an exit for Jadon Sancho all summer.

Juventus interest

Since Chelsea decided not to sign the winger permanently at the start of the window, it is Juventus who have shown the most interest in the player.

The English winger has given priority to the Old Lady as his next club and they have already bid €10 plus €5 million for him.

Sancho is prepared to take a wage cut to join the Italian giants and United are also doing everything they can to facilitate a deal.

Firstly, they will not involve the player in their pre-season plans and probably most importantly, they are willing to pay Sancho financial compensation to depart the club.

Juventus’ latest move

With a deal seemingly moving in the right direction, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported that the Italian side had made a new bid for the player.

It has been stated that “Juve remains focused on Sancho, regardless of Francisco Conceicao, with a clear desire to acquire two attacking wingers.”

The Serie A side are also emboldened in their pursuit of Sancho as he wants to go there and owing to the fact that he has less than a year left on his current deal.

Nonetheless, to avoid any “dangers” in the market, they want to act quickly and have made a new formal bid for him.

Pedulla reports that “and in the last few hours, they have offered £15 million compared to the €25 million requested by Manchester United.”

It is once again reiterated that Juve “have a full agreement with Sancho and his entourage; now they need to follow through with the club that owns his rights.”

Deal drawing closer

Juventus’ newest offer is roughly €17.3 million, so closer to United’s valuation without reaching it but there is still considerable difference.

United’s decision will be key as they may be ready to just cut their losses and make a breakthrough in one sale this summer.

On the other side, they may feel they can squeeze more cash out of Juventus, even if it threatens a potential deal.
