Harrison has sent a message to the Whites after making the loan move back to Goodison Park.

Jack Harrison has taken to social media to wish Leeds United well, after sealing another loan switch away from Elland Road.

His departure comes as a blow for the Whites, who could have benefitted from keeping him in their first-team squad or selling him for a decent fee, with the club needing to balance their books following their play-off final defeat against Southampton last month.

However, the player has opted to re-join Everton on loan, having enjoyed a respectable campaign at Goodison Park last term.

Whilst Harrison has the opportunity to perform at the top level again, Leeds will be looking to get themselves back to the Premier League at the second time of asking, having fallen just short last term.

Registering 90 points last season, the West Yorkshire side can count themselves unlucky not to be competing in the top tier during the 2024/25 campaign, but they must put that behind them as they look to redeem themselves.

Player sales will probably be required to keep the Whites within financial limits and if that's the case, the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto could be in contention to secure an exit from Elland Road.

Those players will need to be replaced if they go, along with any other first-teamers who depart the West Yorkshire side this summer, with a number of players' futures uncertain.

Harrison will have been delighted to secure a return to the top tier ahead of next season, with the winger likely to be keen to test himself at the best level.

Although he expressed his delight at joining the Toffees again, he also had a message for his parent club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Taking to Instagram, he posted: "Proud to be returning to Everton for our last season at Goodison.

"I’ve been working hard this summer to hit the ground running in pre-season and show the Blues what I can really do.

"I want to wish everyone at Leeds well for the coming season."

Jack Harrison departure will sting for Daniel Farke and Leeds United's fans

As mentioned above, a loan exit isn't ideal for Leeds.

Keeping him would have been a boost for Farke considering how much of an asset the winger could have been at this level.

Selling him may have also been beneficial, because it would have boosted his transfer budget and/or allowed him to keep a key player.

Farke may not have had the opportunity to work with Harrison during his time at Elland Road, but for the reasons stated above, the German won't be too happy about the winger's departure.

The fans will also be sad about the fact Harrison has departed.

They would have been hoping that the winger would help them get back to the top flight. But it doesn't look as though that will be happening anytime soon.
