Manchester City star Jack Grealish has issued an emotional message to manager Pep Guardiola after Sunday’s Premier League title success.

The 28-year-old clinched his third successive Premier League title on Sunday afternoon, as Manchester City made history with a 3-1 win over West Ham, to lift the Premier League trophy for a record-breaking fourth consecutive season.

Grealish, who completed a £100 million move to the Etihad Stadium in 2019, has won seven major trophies since swapping the Midlands for east Manchester, and could add another winners’ medal to the collection with victory in the Emirates FA Cup Final this weekend.

The England forward was also named in Gareth Southgate’s training squad ahead of the European Championships in Germany this summer, despite making just 26 starts for the Sky Blues this season.

Grealish’s campaign has been hampered by a series of injury struggles, as well as the 28-year-old being the subject of a traumatic burglary at his Cheshire home in December 2023.

The forward hasn’t featured for Pep Guardiola’s side since the 5-1 win over Wolves at the start of the month, but could start Saturday’s concluding clash of the campaign against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium.

Despite a limited number of opportunities in recent weeks, the forward has issued an emotional vote of thanks to manager Guardiola following Sunday’s Premier League title triumph.

“I’ve had times this season that I’ve struggled off the pitch – I don’t mind saying that – and he’s been there for me so much. He’s a brilliant manager on the pitch but behind closed doors and in his office, he’s helped me too.

“I just said congratulations, and he said no you congratulations! He’s an unbelievable guy.”

Grealish is contracted at the Etihad Stadium until 2027, although next season could be the Englishman’s last under Guardiola, as the 53-year-old is out of contract in 2025 and hinted at plans to depart Manchester City.
