International round-up: Hemp, Park and Greenwood help ruthless Lionesses | OneFootball

Lauren Hemp, Jess Park and Alex Greenwood all featured for England in their emphatic 6-0 victory over Portugal.

Hemp sparkled on her first appearance for the Lionesses since October 2024 after recovering from the injury that forced her to miss much of the season at the Joie Stadium.

The winger was a constant threat down the left flank as England raced to a comfortable win with an impressive performance at Wembley.

Aggie Beever-Jones scored a first half hat-trick along with goals from Lucy Bronze and Beth Mead, Park claiming an assist for the latter.

With such a big lead, England boss Sarina Wiegman was able to make early changes with Hemp replaced just before the hour-mark.

Greenwood came on at the same time and made an instant impact with a defence-splitting pass that led to a sixth for Chloe Kelly.

Park was also replaced shortly after as the Lionesses remained in second place in Group 3 of the Nations League and now go to Spain on Tuesday needing three points to finish on top.

Laura Wienrother also enjoyed success as she played 90 minutes for Austria in their 1-0 victory over Scotland at Hampden Park.

There was less good news for young City defender Mayzee Davies who was forced off with an injury in just the fourth minute of Wales’ 1-0 defeat at Denmark.

And in the other Home Nations fixture, Abbie Smith was an unused substitute for Northern Ireland as they were beaten 4-0 by Poland in Belfast.

Elsewhere, City team-mates Rebecca Knaak and Kerstin Casparij faced each other as Germany played Netherlands in Bremen.

And it was Germany who came out on top, Knaak playing the full 90 minutes in a 4-0 victory.
