After 18 of Paris Saint-Germain's first-team players joined up with their respective national teams over the June international break, check out how they got on below.
After losing 5-4 to Spain in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League in Germany, our five Frenchmen restored some honour for their side with a 2-0 victory over Julian Nagelsmann's Mannschaft in the third-place play-off.
Four days after lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy there with their club, Paris's Portuguese quartet returned to the Munich Football Arena for a UNL semi-final against the aforementioned German hosts, whom they beat 2-1. Roberto Martínez's men then faced Fabián Ruiz's Spain in the final, which ended in a 5-3 penalty shootout win for Portugal after a 2-2 draw and saw Nuno Mendes named as UEFA's Player of the Match, having scored both in normal time and in the shootout to help his country to its second Nations League title.
Gianluigi Donnarumma's Italy had two FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers lined up this month, with mixed results: a 3-0 defeat away to Norway followed by a 2-0 win at home to Moldova.
As mentioned earlier, Paris's no. 8 was also involved in the final four of the UEFA Nations League with La Roja, who beat France 5-4 before losing 5-3 on penalties to Portugal after a 2-2 draw.
Achraf Hakimi's Morocco played two friendlies during this month's international break: a 2-0 win over Tunisia – thanks in part to a goal from our right-back – and a 1-0 triumph over Benin.
As part of their FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign, Marquinhos's and Lucas Beraldo's Brazil travelled to Guayaquil for a clash with Willian Pacho's Ecuador, which ended in a goalless draw, before the Seleção recorded a 1-0 win over Paraguay in São Paulo.
Paris Saint-Germain's Ecuadorian defender took part in both of his country's World Cup qualifiers this month, the first of which was the aforementioned stalemate with Brazil, in which Pacho was named as the Man of the Match. Meanwhile, La Tri's second fixture, which was against Peru in Lima, also ended in a 0-0 draw.
The Taegeuk Warriors booked their place at next summer's World Cup with a 2-0 win over Iraq, in which Lee Kang-in bagged an assist. Then, in his side's final qualifier – a 4-0 victory over Kuwait – our no. 19 went one step further by getting himself on the scoresheet.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder and striker were called up by the head coach of France's U20s, Bernard Diomède, for the 2025 edition of the Tournoi Maurice Revello. There, Les Bleuets ran out 2-1 winners over Saudi Arabia in their opening group game, three days before losing 5-4 on penalties to Mali after a 1-1 draw. The young Frenchmen then ended their group-stage campaign on a high by beating Panama 2-1 and will face Mexico in the semi-finals at 17:30 today.
