Inter pin hopes on luck and Lautaro ahead of Serie A title decider | OneFootball

The equation for Inter is simple tonight – if they win and Napoli drop points, they will be crowned Serie A champions. In a title decider, Simone Inzaghi and his men will be looking at none other than captain Lautaro Martinez to guide them home. The Argentine striker hasn’t had the greatest season by his own high standards but has stepped up on big occasions, including the Champions League semifinal against Barcelona. Martinez has already scored 12 times in the league this season and Inter fans will hope that number increases when they travel to Como later tonight.

However, merely a win won’t do it for Inter, they need Napoli to drop points as well. Antonio Conte’s side are 1 point ahead and play Cagliari at the Diego Maradona Stadium tonight. For the Nerrazzuri to have any chance of a direct victory or of forcing a title playoff, they need luck and favour from Cagliari.
