Inter mull options as Galatasaray show interest in Hakan Calhanoglou | OneFootball

A homecoming seems to be on the cards for Hakan Calhanoglou. Galatasaray are aiming to have a big summer and already have signed Leroy Sane. They have shown interest in Inter’s Turkish midfielder. The Nerrazzuri do not seem to mind parting ways with the 31 year old but they want a fee in the range of €35-40m. Some Saudi Arabian clubs are also rumoured to be interested. Inter are first thinking about internal options. Kristian Asllani is the designated backup but he has not impressed much in the opportunities he has had. Nicolo Barella can play in that role but it feels like under-utilization of his qualities. Piotr Zielinski feels like the best fit for the position overall. As per Gazzetta.it, Inter are also monitoring Lazio’s Nicolo Rovella for the position. Rovella had an excellent season and Lazio very much see him as a player they want to build around.
