Inter Milan will only make a move for PSG keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma if it is on a free transfer next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

The future of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is still uncertain.

The 26-year-old’s contract with PSG runs out at the end of next June. He is still on the same five-year deal that he signed when he joined the club on a free transfer from AC Milan in the summer of 2021.

As of yet, it is far from clear whether Donnarumma and PSG will agree a new deal.

Should Donnarumma not extend his contract, then he could be available on a free transfer next summer. He could leave his club at the end of his contract for the second time in his career.

And in that case, Inter Milan would certainly be interested.

The Nerazzurri’s penchant for big free transfer signings is no secret. And such deals don’t come much bigger than Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Therefore, Inter are paying close attention to the Italy captain’s situation in the French capital.

However, on the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain could even look to sell Donnarumma this summer. If the 26-year-old doesn’t sign a new deal, then this would be their last big chance to cash in.

According to the Gazzetta, however, Inter would not move for Donnarumma in that case. They would only be interested in signing the former Milan keeper on a free transfer in twelve months’ time.
