One thing that looks quite abundantly clear is that Correa will not be at Inter next season.

The 29-year-old is a player who the Nerazzurri will be desperate to offload before the end of the summer transfer window.

Correa is under contract with Inter until the end of next June.

However, the former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria forward hardly has a place in the Nerazzurri squad for next season.

Therefore, Inter have been looking for a new club for Correa this summer.

And considering the 29-year-old’s contract situation, it will have to be a permanent sale. Another loan move would not be possible.

According to FCIN, Correa’s preference would be to stay in Serie A.

And if not the Italian top flight, the forward would like to at least stay in European football.

However, there is not exactly a long line of suitors for Correa.

The Argentine’s form last season on loan with Marseille was nothing short of disastrous, as he failed to score or assist a goal across the entirety of the campaign.

Argentine giants River Plate have sounded out a move for Correa.

But according to FCIN, as of yet that is just paper talk and interest from the Argentine club. The fact remain that both Inter’s transfer fee demands and Correa’s wage demands would be too high for River.

On the other hand, if a club from the Saudi Pro League were to move in, then they would certainly be able to afford a deal for Correa.

Therefore, FCIN report, that would be Inter’s preference.

And according to FCIN, Correa has opened up to the possibility of a Saudi move. It would not be his first choice, but he has not necessarily slammed the door on the idea.

Therefore, at the moment, Inter are waiting to see if a big Saudi offer materializes for Correa.
