Inter Milan, Juventus, PSG, and Barcelona are all gearing up to try and sign Jonathan David on a free transfer this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the competition for the Lille and Canada striker’s signature is now really starting to heat up.

Striker Jonathan David has confirmed that he will be joining a new club this summer.

It has long looked nearly inevitable that the 25-year-old would be leaving Lille on a free transfer. His contract with the Ligue 1 side runs out at the end of the current season.

And now, David has explicitly stated that he will leave Lille after five years.

And the Canadian international has made clear that he will make his decision at the end of the current season.

And Tuttosport note that there is no shortage of clubs interested in David’s signature.

In Serie A, Inter Milan are certainly keen to sign the Canadian.

The Nerazzurri will be looking to replace the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa next summer.

And Inter are no strangers to a big name free transfer. That’s how they signed all of Stefan de Vrij, Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Andre Onana, Marcus Thuram, Piotr Zielinski, and Mehdi Taremi.

And then, having just turned 25 this year, Jonathan David falls within Inter owners Oaktree Capital’s parameters for lowering the average squad age.

But it’s not just Inter who want to bring David to the Italian top flight, reports Tuttosport.

Juventus are also big admirers of the Canadian. And since it looks increasingly likely that they’ll part ways with Dusan Vlahovic, they will therefore be looking to fill a vacancy in attack.

Then, from around Europe, the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are also targeting David.
