While Barcelona celebrated winning the Copa del Rey against their biggest rivals, Inter Milan were definitely in crisis after their third consecutive defeat of the season. Simone Inzhaghi's side missed the chance to dispel any negative impressions following the 1-0 defeat to Roma in the Coppa Italia.

The team led by the experienced Claudio Ranieri went on the attack from the first minute and bet heavily on attacking transitions down the right flank, showing a path that could be exploited by the Catalans. Zeki Çelik escaped down the right and laid it off to Pellegrini, who took a shot from the edge of the box and saw the ball go out to Matias Soulé to score the first goal.

The second half was extremely busy with Inter dominating possession (77%), but at the same time offering plenty of space for counter-attacks, with 10 shots for each team. However, it was Roma who had the two best chances to extend the lead and almost left the San Siro with an even better score.

As a result, Inter arrive demobilized and with enormous misgivings for a game that will be difficult and decisive this Wednesday in Catalonia, as they face an excited Barcelona side with their work increasingly well-established.
