Bisseck joined the Nerazzurri from Danish outfit Aarhus last summer and immediately won the Serie A title under Simone Inzaghi.

Despite his relatively sparse first-team opportunities in 2023/24, the 23-year-old proved himself as a dependable option at the back.

Given the stiff competition for places at Mezza, he only made nine league starts last term.

However, he featured in 21 matches across all competitions, gathering much-needed experience at the highest level.

If he stays on this trajectory, there’s a feeling he’ll become a vital part of Inter’s defense in the coming years.

Yann Bisseck Admits That Lifting Scudetto in His First Season at Inter Milan Was Special

“I believe every athlete has the desire to win. If you are an athlete, the winning mentality is already part of you, you grow up with it,” the young gun said.

“Winning the Scudetto in my first season was a fantastic thing. I learned a lot on the training pitch and also off it.

“I have grown both as a person and as a player, particularly in tactical awareness. For me, in football, it is essential to have fun.

“It is important to keep the same passion, to go on the field with the heart, like the first time.”

Party Time Was a Fantastic Thing

“It is one of the few things I can say I have never seen in my life, and it doesn’t happen to me often,” Bisseck confirmed.

” A fantastic experience, with the whole Nerazzurri city. I don’t have many words to describe those moments experienced on the bus.

“Every time I look at photos and videos I am still amazed.”

Bisseck also maintains his ambition to score goals despite his position on the pitch.

“The first goal? I like to score goals. The first with Inter was beautiful, at San Siro with all the fans shouting my name, everyone in an explosion of joy, and then all the teammates around, very happy for me.

“A fantastic feeling. It was a surreal moment. After the game is over, when everyone congratulates you, that’s when you realize you’ve done something special.”

Bisseck holds his Inter clubmate Denzel Dumfries in high regard. In fact, he sees the Dutchman as his ‘older brother.’

“I know who likes to challenge me: Denzel Dumfries. When we are in a team together in training, it always pushes me to do more.

“For me, he is like an older brother.”

The ex-Aarhus defender admits he wishes he’d have a chance to face Inter icon Diego Milito.

“An Inter legend to challenge? If I had to choose, Diego Milito.

“How do I charge up for a challenge? I enter the court and try to have fun. I always want to play at my best, so I put my best effort into it.”
