Serie A giants Inter Milan have on Wednesday evening been dealt a blow on the personnel front.
This, of course, comes amid their ongoing meeting with La Liga leaders Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Simone Inzaghi’s troops are currently locked in action in Catalunya’s capital, eyeing a positive result to take back to San Siro for next week’s return leg.
The Nerazzurri got off to a dream start in the clash, racing out to a two-goal advantage owing to strikes on the part of Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries.
Things have since, however, taken a major turn for the worse for the evening’s visitors…
After surrendering their lead to allow Barca to draw level, Inter subsequently saw captain and leader Lautaro Martínez forced off.
The Argentine pulled up with a sudden problem on the verge of the interval, before being hooked by boss Inzaghi for the 2nd-half.
It now remains to be seen whether Martínez is cleared to play his part in next week’s 2nd leg in Milan.
