Inter Milan are considering sending wingback Tajon Buchanan on loan to Roma.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could sanction the loan deal to get the 25-year-old more playing time.
Buchanan is still far from a regular starter at Inter.
The Canadian international joined the Nerazzurri from Club Brugge more than a year ago. He arrived during last season’s January transfer window.
However, Buchanan as yet to make a start in Serie A. He has made one start in the Coppa Italia round of sixteen against Udinese.
Buchanan is at a point where his career is at risk of stalling out.
The 25-year-old may be a depth option for Inter. But it seems clear that he does not have the full trust of Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi as anything more than an impact substitution.
Therefore, Tuttosport report, Inter are starting to think about loaning Buchanan out this month.
The priority would be a club where Buchanan would start – or at least play – regularly. That would give the Canadian the chance to really start finding his feet in Serie A.
Roma have shown an interest in signing Buchanan. They want to bolster the squad available to Claudio Ranieri over the second half of the season, and are fans of the Canadian’s pace and versatility.
Therefore, a loan deal to the Giallorossi could potentially work out for all parties.
