Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi expects to meet with the Nerazzurri’s new owners Oaktree Capital for the first time on Tuesday.

The Nerazzurri coach also made clear that the club are not going to make massive changes in the summer transfer market while speaking in a press conference after his team’s draw with Hellas Verona, via FCInterNews.

Inter finished up their season on the pitch at the Bentegodi, with a 2-2 draw against Verona.

Off the pitch, however, the club are only just at the very beginning of a new chapter.

Last week, US-based fund Oaktree Capital took control of the Nerazzurri from Suning.

The fund were able to repossess the outgoing owners’ shares after the latter had defaulted on their debt.

Therefore, Oaktree are technically now Inter owners.

However, there is a lot of work to do before the fund can really be in control.

The coming weeks will see Oaktree set up a new organizational structure within the Nerazzurri.

And figures from the new ownership will have to become acquainted with Inzaghi, the team’s coach.

Simone Inzaghi: “I’ll Meet With Oaktree Next Week”

Inzaghi noted that “I had a great relationship with the Zhang family. And with Steven in particular.”

“He was a President who was precious to us,” the Inter coach added.

“He knows the love I have for him.”

Inzaghi then added that “On Tuesday, I’ll meet with the new owners.”

“There will be several steps to go,” the coach continued. “Along with the senior management, we’ll get to know the new owners and understand their plans.”

As far as Inter’s ambitions for next season, where they will be defending Serie A champions, Inzaghi said that “When you reach a goal like this, you shouldn’t hide from it.”

“It will take great motivation,” the Nerazzurri coach added. “We always try to improve.”

And regarding the Nerazzurri’s summer transfer plans, Inzaghi said that “The transfer market is unpredictable.”

“But we will certainly make fewer changes to the team than last year.”

“I have great directors who never sit still, they always work,” the Inter coach added. “But now it’s right for us to rest.”
