Benjamin Pavard and Denzel Dumfries will come into Inter Milan’s starting eleven for their Serie A match against Lecce.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They name the duo as the two changes that Simone Inzaghi will make to the Nerazzurri lineup.

Inter failed to get their Serie A season off to a winning start away in Genoa last Saturday.

The Nerazzurri had to settle for a point after a wild 2-2 draw.

Inter coach Inzaghi had gone with more or less his strongest possible starting eleven for that match.

There was certainly no thought of giving any key players the night off.

And this coming Saturday against Lecce, it will be the same story. Inzaghi is going to try and play the team with the best possibility of getting a win, with no thought of squad rotation.

The pressure is even higher now that Inter have drawn their first match.

But there are a couple of areas where Inzaghi is ready to switch things up.

Pavard & Dumfries To Start For Inter Vs Lecce

One eye-catching selection from Inzaghi for the match against Genoa was defender Yann Bisseck.

The German had enjoyed a much longer preseason than Benjamin Pavard. Therefore, Inzaghi decided that he was more ready to start the opener.

It was largely a solid performance from Bisseck, although he did concede the stoppage time penalty that led to Genoa’s equalizer.

Pavard was an unused substitute at the Marassi.

But according to Tuttosport, the Frenchman will take up a starting place against Lecce in Inter’s first match of the season at the San Siro.

Meanwhile, one of the lingering doubts as far as Inter’s strongest starting eleven is on the right flank.

Former Manchester United and Torino veteran Matteo Darmian started at right-wingback against Genoa. Denzel Dumfries replaced him in the second half.

But according to Tuttosport, Dumfries will be the player to start in the position against Lecce.
