Inter get Thuram boost, but Inzaghi still has a call to make for Juventus | OneFootball

Simone Inzaghi and Inter have received a massive boost ahead of Sunday’s Derby d’Italia away against Juventus, as the club’s top Serie A goalscorer Marcus Thuram re-joined training with the rest of the first team group on Saturday, but the coach still has a big call to make in terms of personnel.

Thuram has not been involved in training this week after coming off in the first half of the team’s 2-1 victory over Fiorentina on Monday night.

He had been expected to miss out on the high-profile Juventus clash on Sunday, but was fit enough to join in with the rest of the first-team Nerazzurri group for training on the eve of the crunch match.

That is despite the fact that Inzaghi said the Frenchman was still feeling some pain during his pre-match press conference on Saturday morning.

Though Thuram should be available for the matchday squad tomorrow evening, Sky Sport Italia claim that Mehdi Taremi is still the favourite to start alongside Lautaro Martinez in Inzaghi’s 3-5-2.
