One player who has had rotten luck with injury this season is Oscar Bobb. The Norwegian international suffered a fractured leg on the eve of the 24/25 season. Following that he suffered a setback during his recovery from that particular injury. He has since made two appearances off the bench for Manchester City following his return to the pitch. But a new report now indicates that Oscar Bobb has suffered a fresh injury setback. It is horrendous news for the promising young winger whose 24/25 season has been wrecked by injury.
Norway manager Ståle Solbakken has revealed to Norwegian publication NRK that Oscar Bobb has suffered a new injury. Solbakken revealed that it was only a minor injury that Bobb had sustained. Speaking on Bobb’s condition the Norway manager said: “He has suffered another minor injury. I don’t know anything about the time perspective, but it is not a serious injury.”
All attention will shift to Pep Guardiola’s pre-game press conference on Friday ahead of Manchester City’s FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest for a further update on Bobb’s condition. Bobb wasn’t in City’s matchday squad for their wins over Everton and Aston Villa. He last featured for Manchester City when he came on late in their 5-2 win over Crystal Palace. It isn’t immediately clear if the injury Bobb has reportedly sustained caused him to miss City’s last two matches.
The 24/25 season has been a wretched one for Oscar Bobb. After he has such a promising pre season he hasn’t been able to get a run at it at all this season. It now remains to be seen how long he will be sidelined for with the minor injury he has reportedly sustained.
