Enzo Fernandez, who has been wearing the captains armband in the absence of Reece James, has responded to his captains injury update post on Instagram this week.

James has been missing for a while now, with no updates or signs of when he might actually be returning to the pitch for Chelsea.

When he first got injured this season I swear I remember outlets reporting it wasn’t serious and it would just be a few weeks. It’s been much longer than that.

James provides update

As you can see in the image above, James says ‘long story short, I’m doing well. Hope to see you soon.’

Enzo then replied to this posting saying ‘vaaaamos hermano!!!!’ which is certainly a good and excited reaction and would suggest that James will in fact soon be back in training for Chelsea.

Let’s hope that for once this time he can actually sustain a longer period without getting injured yet again!
