Mauricio Pochettino left Chelsea on Tuesday by mutual consent after just one season at the club, with the end of season review believed to have been amicable on both sides.

Whilst it’s been widely reported as mutual consent you can’t help but feel Pochettino wasn’t really left with a choice given he wanted to keep players the club wanted to sell, and that he wanted more of an input into transfers.

One thing he deserves huge credit for is the togetherness he’s created within this new young squad, with the players clearly huge admirers of him with many glowing messages of thanks coming in for the Argentine.

“Making my dreams come true”

Palmer excelled under Pochettino in his first season at the club, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in a campaign which saw him named Premier League Young Player of the Year.
