Cole Palmer has had a season he could have only dreamed of with Chelsea following his arrival from Manchester City on deadline day last summer.

Palmer quickly established himself as Chelsea’s go to man and took the Premier League by storm, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in his first season of playing regular football.

The 22-year-old’s form has seen him become a full England international, and earn a place in Gareth Southgate’s provisional squad for the Euros, and is expected to make the final 26.

Palmer lands another award

Palmer’s performances saw him named Premier League Young Player of the Year, as well as becoming the first Chelsea player to win a Premier League Player of the Month Award since Eden Hazard in 2018, and the first Chelsea player to win both player and goal of the month awards in the same month.

The England international became just the third player aged 21 or under in Premier League history to register 30 goal contributions in a single season, and also became the youngest player in the league’s history to finish with the most goal contributions in a season.

The awards haven’t stopped there for Palmer and on Tuesday he was named as PFA Premier League 23/24 Fans’ Player of the Year.

Palmer will have his eye on one more award this season, the PFA Young Player of the Year award, and it’s hard to see him not adding that to his already extensive collection.
