Simon Jordan believes Liam Delap has all the attributes to be a top player and thinks Chelsea can be the right environment for him.
Chelsea made Delap their first summer signing after a deal with Ipswich worth £30m was agreed and the 22-year-old, who scored 12 Premier League goals last season.
The Blues secured one of Enzo Maresca’s top targets and will be delighted to have fought off strong competition from Manchester United.
Delap impressed on his debut against Los Angeles FC in the Club World Cup on Monday night, coming on as a second half substitute and setting up Enzo Fernandez’s goal.
The England under-21 international looked a handful and it appears he’s settled in well despite only being at the club a short space of time.
Delap will give Chelsea a much needed alternative to Nicolas Jackson and a different dimension in attack which they really lacked last season.

Cole Palmer believes Delap is one of the best strikers in the Premier League, and Jordan thinks he’s got all the attributes to become a top player.
“I think he’s a good player,” he told talkSPORT as cited on X.com.
“I think if he’s put into the right framework, he will be a top player, I think he’s also a robust centre-forward.
“I think he’s got all the attributes to be a top player. Whether that environment is Chelsea, we will see. I think it possibly could be.”
It doesn’t appear Chelsea will look to sign another out and out striker, and it’s believed the Blues want a different profile to Jackson and Delap.
