Celtic are chasing a treble but 2025 has been the year of the underdogs
Aberdeen face Celtic in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park this afternoon.
2014 was the last time the Dons lifted major silverware but 2025 has seen multiple trophy droughts end across Europe with Newcastle, Bologna and Tottenham all achieving cup success.
Jimmy Thelin's side will ultimately start the clash as overwhelming underdogs and the fact they were thumped 5-1 by Celtic just 10 days ago does raise the prospect of a one-sided showdown.
Meanwhile, Celtic are looking to continue their dominance north of the boarder.
Having won the Scottish Premiership - for a 12th time in 13 seasons - and beaten Old Firm rivals Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final, the Hoops are out to complete a domestic treble.
Since suffering a shock loss away at St. Johnstone at the beginning of April, Brendan Rodgers' side have been in fine form. Unbeaten in seven, scoring goals aplenty and will be boosted by winning the last four meetings against Aberdeen.
Could there be a surprise in store in Glasgow, or will it be business as usual for Celtic? Here’s everything you need to know about where to watch the game...
