An insight into the plans of the coaching staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid to fit all of the club’s key attacking stars into one XI next season has this weekend been forthcoming online.

This, of course, comes as Carlo Ancelotti and co. prepare for the imminent addition of Kylian Mbappé to their ranks.

Frontman Mbappé has now officially been unveiled as the latest headline signing in Spain’s capital, primed to link up with his new teammates at some point over the coming weeks.

In the process, the France international will provide his new manager with something of a welcome headache, in deciding how exactly he intends to set up his first-choice XI for the campaign ahead.

If the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, though, then it would appear that Carlo Ancelotti has already got a basic plan in mind when it comes to as much.

As per a report from The Athletic, Real Madrid intend to fit all of Mbappé, Vinícius Jr, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo into the club’s line-up in 2024/25.

How? As follows:

Vinícius Jr. on the left flank, Rodrygo on the right, and Mbappé in a centre-forward role.

Moving back into midfield, Bellingham will be tasked with a more orthodox ‘8’ position in Los Blancos’ engine room, after largely operating as a ’10’ in his debut season in Spain.

It is also noted that ‘Madrid’s approach is going to switch between two formations, depending on whether they are attacking or defending’.

When in possession, a 4-3-3 will be on display.

When defending, though, the La Liga champions intend to convert into a 4-4-2, with Vinícius and Mbappé as the front-two.

Rodrygo will then be tasked with supporting Dani Carvajal down the right, with Bellingham moving into a ‘false’ left wing role on the other side.
