How Man City’s move for Andrea Cambiaso could impact Barcelona | OneFootball

An insight into the potential knock-on effect of Juventus star Andrea Cambiaso making his way to Premier League champions Manchester City on the situation at Barcelona has late this week been provided.

Versatile full-back Cambiaso, for his part, is understood to be inching towards a move to Pep Guardiola’s City.

With the Sky Blues ready to put a sum in the region of €65 million on the table for the Italian, Juventus are viewed as increasingly likely to sanction a sale.

And, in the case of as much being confirmed, the brass at the Allianz Stadium could quickly turn their focus towards the playing squad at the aforementioned Barcelona.

It is of course common knowledge that Juve have set their sights on the services of Blaugrana stopper Ronald Araújo this month.

Recent reports in the media appeared to suggest that any potential deal between the parties was all but dead in the water, however, after the player himself came to the decision to stay put.

But a €65 million cash injection in Turin could yet alter things…

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing a number of Italian outlets, Juventus would be ready to make use of this sum to increase their proposal for Araújo.

After previously putting €50 million on the table, the Bianconeri would be willing to go as high as €70 million for the Uruguayan.

And though Barcelona’s focus remains on renewing his contract, such figures could see Deco and co. reconsider a January sale for Araújo.
