How Kylian Mbappé can win the European Golden Boot on La Liga’s final day | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has put himself in prime position to secure the European Golden Boot later this week.

This comes after the Frenchman added to his goalscoring haul for the campaign during Real’s meeting with Sevilla on Sunday evening.

After making the trip to Andalusia as part of the penultimate round of fixtures of the La Liga campaign, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.

And it was Mbappé who broke the deadlock on the evening, courtesy of a brilliant strike from distance.

In the process, the summer arrival in Spain broke away from Liverpool standout Mohamed Salah in 2nd place in the race for the European Golden Shoe.

Mbappé has now found the net 29 times in his debut La Liga campaign.

Should the 26-year-old add to his tally once more as part of the final gameweek in Spain’s top-flight against Real Sociedad this weekend, he will in turn leapfrog current Golden Boot leader Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting CP.

Salah, with two Premier League games to play, though, remains in the running, too…
