An insight into the latest stance of the powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona when it comes to the return of João Félix has today been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards the Blaugrana brass as standing firm when it comes to Félix’s ability to contribute to their success.

The 24-year-old is of course currently in the midst of playing his part for Portugal at the European Championships.

Félix has endured a frustrating campaign to date, though, failing to secure a single minute of action in either of his country’s first two group stage outings.

With it becoming increasingly clear that Roberto Martínez is the latest manager not fully convinced by the former Benfica talent, it had in turn been suggested that the aforementioned Barcelona could seek to cut their losses, and simply allow Félix to head back to parent club Atlético Madrid.

This, however, is far from the reality of the situation.

As per a report from Sport:

‘The Blaugrana club maintains its faith in the forward and continues to move forward with its intention to incorporate him as one of the pieces of Hansi Flick’s new project.’
