How every single Manchester City player performed on international duty in June 2025

After a disappointing 2024/2025 season in the Premier League, several Manchester City players recently shifted focus to national teams as 11 stars were selected for duty.
First, looking over the European contingent, and there was involvement in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches while others took part in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League Finals alongside a round of international friendlies.
In UEFA FIFA World Cup qualification Group G, Nathan Aké and Tijjani Reijnders joined the Netherlands for two qualification matches and two victories; a 0-2 result against Finland and an 8-0 rout over Malta.
Over in Group I, Oscar Bobb and Erling Haaland helped Norway to maintain a flying start as they recorded a 3-0 victory against Italy featuring a goal for the Manchester City striker. In the second contests against Estonia, Haaland was on the scoresheet once again to provide the winning goal to leave Norway top of their group with four wins from a possible four.
In Group J, the recently-departed Kevin De Bruyne and Jérémy Doku saw Belgium somewhat struggle with a 1-1 draw against North Macedonia, before throwing away a three-goal lead at home to Wales and ultimately require a late winning goal from the aforementioned midfielder in a 4-3 victory.
In Group K, England have continued their strong start in qualification with a 0-1 win over Andorra in which Kyle Walker was unused from the bench. The veteran full-back did feature in a friendly against Senegal and the 1-3 defeat at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground.
Finally, in Group L, Joško Gvardiol joined Croatia for two matches; remaining an unused substitute in a 0-7 win away to Gibraltar, before starring in a 5-1 home win over Czech Republic.
Outside of FIFA World Cup qualification matches, centre-back Manuel Akanji joined Switzerland to feature in two international friendlies against Mexico and the United States.
The last portion of Manchester City’s European contingent played in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League Finals as Rúben Dias and Bernardo Silva joined Portugal in the Semi-Finals against Germany and secure a 1-2 victory to reach the showpiece final.
The Portuguese faced the Spanish and despite falling 2-0 behind, Dias and Bernardo helped their nation turn things around in the second-half, as the contest ended 2-2 come full time, where the Manchester City stars would secure victory in a penalty shoot-out and claim their second UEFA Nations League titles.
Outside of Europe, only one other Manchester City player traveled for duty as the Asian Football Confederation held more World Cup qualification matches and Abdukodir Khusanov joined Uzbekistan for their final two games in qualification.
Uzbekistan drew with the United Arab Emirates in their first match of this window and defeated Qatar in the second game, while both results were enough to see Khusanov and his teammates finish second in qualification Group A and qualify for a World Cup for the very first time in the nation’s history.
